Mariam Mellouli
Master of Psychology (2008) · Licensed Psychologist (2010) · MSc, King's College London
I am a licensed psychologist with 18 years of experience at the intersection of people and organizations.
Today, I run my own practice, where I specialize in stress management as well as leadership and career development.
Throughout my entire career as a psychologist and my continuing education, I have been deeply interested in well-being and performance—and in how they support one another and contribute to sustainable work communities.
I work with individuals, leaders, and teams, and have extensive experience with Danish and international companies as well as private and public organizations.
I have been living in Morocco since August 1. For this reason, I offer only individual 1-on-1 online courses.
I am a member of the Danish Psychological Association.
My Background
Organizational psychologist specializing in well-being and performance
My career as a psychologist began at PPR in 2008. There, I learned just how important leadership, culture, and organization are to employees’ well-being and their ability to succeed at work. Good strategies only make a difference when employees have the framework, influence, and sense of ownership to put them into practice. That marked the beginning of my interest in what happens between an organization’s goals and everyday life in the workplace: How do we create an environment where people can take responsibility, contribute, and thrive?
In 2014, I earned an MSc in Strategic HRM and Organizational Analysis from King’s College London. Since then, I have worked in management, HR, and organizational development at Dansk Erhverv and Implement Consulting Group. Since 2018, as an industrial psychologist, I have been helping managers and employees navigate challenges in the workplace and create better conditions for them to succeed and thrive in their roles.
My Focus
I work with both well-being and performance. Through thousands of sessions with leaders and specialists in stress management, as well as career and leadership development, I have seen how committed and responsible people can lose their motivation and ability to perform. This often happens when they act based on all the tasks and demands they face in their daily lives, rather than staying focused on their own role and responsibilities. They easily end up taking on more responsibility than they can handle, instead of focusing on completing their tasks to the best of their ability within the constraints they face.
My focus is on clarifying responsibilities and goals and empowering people to influence their work and perform to the best of their ability within the scope of their roles. When responsibility and influence go hand in hand, both individuals and organizations are better positioned to succeed.
